A living medieval castle.

Roquetaillade has always been inhabited even up to this day. Not only is it one of the touristic highlights of Bordeaux, it is also a farm where fine wines are produced and Bazadais cattle are preserved.

The cows :

This breed of cows which nearly went extinct in the 1960’s is now considered as one of the finest meats in the world. They are reared at Crampet farm and they pasture on the natural fields around the castle.

The farm can be visited in season where you can discover both the typical local lifestyle in the museum as well as the real live animals.
